Greeters, LOL that's the shrink solution!
There are asset protection coordinator positions currently posted. It's a store level position, reporting to the SM.
They will take the lowest paid rlpm in the area. Plain and simple, its all about money. The rlpm position cannot influence shrink as was believed before. They ran a few pilots across the country. Districts without rlpms and districts with rlpms. There was no difference in shrink after the two year trial. Pretty much concludes that out job is not necessary and the DMs can do a baseline. Hell anyone can give a baseline audit. Do baseline audits improve shrink. No. I had stores that posted 5-9% shrink in bay area. The managers were all scoring 85-95% on there baselines but still posting 200k+ shrinks pretty much concluded external is the culprit and the company didnt want to hear that
There is no word if they will welcome the current rlpms to apply. I myself will be looking for employment immediately. Cvs does not need an rlpm position or anything like it. In the long run we make no “real” impact on shrink in this tough environment. Theres nothing there willing to do to help the stores succeed
