As someone who spent nearly 2 decades with Oracle...I think the best days are behind you. Things will NOT get any better. Now, I don't say this because I have a grudge with Oracle, I say this because over 2 decades, I have seen first hand what and how Oracle has done to its employees--many of which were my own co-workers and friends.
This isn't a place where employees matter. This is a business first. They are fighting to remain relevant and competitive in the marketplace. It's nothing personal, it's just business when they decide to move your role to another state or country.
The reality is that most big tech companies are going through some very rough times, some in far worse situations. So, if you are young, and new to the company, you may not even notice much difference...but stick around long enough, and you will surely see just how bad things can be.
Me? I left the company last year and could not be happier working for another tech company. I was too afraid making the move after spending so much time with Oracle and think perhaps many might be feeling the same. Don't be afraid to make the switch, there are a lot of great companies out there to work for. Life is too short to stay at a job that you don't like.
Good luck!
