Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Incoming changes at Sam's Club

We were just told a couple of days ago that SAMs Club has a promotion freeze in effect until February, due to changes coming in from home office. What are those changes, the managers aren't telling anyone, but from my experience at Walmart, nothing would surprise me. I have seen long term associates be let go, I have seen registers be replace by self checkouts, I have seen dept leads be reduced and brought back, I have seen reduction in the workforce at Walmart and I have seen managers be demoted because they are no longer needed or lost their job altogether.

Looks like some people have some crow to eat ITT. Thanks for the HONESTY post last week about security details. I never get why people are so quick to dismiss info on this site as lies, especially recently since, let’s be honest, the current Senior Management Team in Bentonville, seem pretty cold and calculated with rollout of major changes with the company. Time will tell if Furner and his team are visionaries making tough decisions to make the company stronger, or hired hitmen who will be gone in 2 years like all the recent CEO’s and teams, enjoying a golden parachutes of WMT stock options.

Well you clearly are a liar because they just opened over 30 new positions in several markets and have continued to open positions for the last 3 months. They are hiring MIT, looking to replace club managers who have left and other assistant manager positions that are open. So go play in traffic with your BS.

Hello Walmart employees. I received a job offer to work a security detail at a local Walmart from Jan 10-18. Fifteeen hours shifts. Provide security for employee layoffs actions occurring at Walmart. These actions are occurring across the US. Don’t know what problems they are anticipating but they are hiring security personnel to standby while they layoff workers. I hear senior people at headquarters are also being affected. Sorry to hear people are loosing their jobs. Good luck and hope everything works out for the people who are layed off.
