Thread regarding CVS layoffs

retail plan

I do work at CVS Corporate in Rhode Island. I know the short term plan for low volume stores is to continue to remove SKUs from store level and replace with blank space holders, and begin pushing customers to our online or high volume stores.

Long term (5 years) will be to convert those low volume stores to clinical (ie. optometry, dietry, dentistry) while maintaing high volume front stores. Most hyper-low volume stores will close.

The individual who responded about the price changes inflating inventory to gain profit margin was spot on! Happened a few ago, with Wal-Mart, in North Carolina. Does anyone remember?

I hope top leaders are monitoring

This ....

Yes cutting hours and hundreds

Oops thousands of jobs will help pay for Aetna ... but we should be gearing up for the 47 million customers we will gain ..

Doesn't make sense.. I realize it will

Be mid 2018 and 2019 before we hand cuff patients to use CVS

But that's less than 365 days away

Hell there's no plan ...Yes I understand PBM side will make $$$

Regardless but brick and mortars will implode ... we can't handle current script volume... can a reader help me understand this?

Price changes are raised to over inflate inventory levels and claim more (ficticious) profit margins.

Ever wonder why we are on a cost inventory, yet take physical inventory at retail? Lol.

I smell a rat.

Keep up the great work Larry.

Giant ponzi scheme.

Of course you do, how else would they camouflage the price increases so the customers don’t notice they are getting ripped off!
