Has anyone heard about layoff and structure changes for the retail stores?

Salary AP managers making over $45k which is almost all of them will be given separation packages. The hourly sr aps’s will be offered the ops support role.
Omni May be phased out.
A lot of plans in place to reduce payroll even the store managers won’t be safe and plenty of replacements are ready to go.
I feel for the stores but the people that are still working there, even with the BP moves, better start taking action to get out of retail. It's dying for most but especially for these types of specialty stores in which the customer base continues to get smaller. On top of that, Cabelas lost a lot of customers I'm sure with the lack of help and the sorry look of the stores and shelves during this buy out. I was in a couple of them and walked out because of the lack of help and no product. The product that was there, I compared with online prices (which most people do now) and found it less. Needless to say, I walked out without buying and won't go in again.
I know it's the situation and not the workers, but I don't see it improving.
sr positions eliminated
asst gm position created-seniors will interview for this
4 overall gsm positions in most stores (will depend on sales volume) but in most stores it will be ops, hardlines, softlines and the 4th is ?
marketing goes hourly
ap goes hourly and becomes ops support specialist (no more apprehensions and basically becomes the ima). Yeah big change..BP doesn't have ap at all so cablea's will be in big trouble without ap now
Hr hourly but most stores have been hourly anyway
Boat salesman already went hourly
There will be leads in each of the departments but pay is like old lead pay $11-12 an hour
Everybody keeps talking about poor Sidney but the stores are about to get screwed big time and a lot of people are about to lose jobs and some major pay!!!!!
What is a GSM?
why would Denver corp be saved? we don't need a duplicate digital marketing group.
On one hand, I hope they give the heave-ho to our senior softline manager but on the other hand, that person has risen to the plateau of ultimate Dilbert principles. I would actually feel some pity if they had to seek work somewhere else and explain what they did for the company the past decade and how they were a good candidate. I mean, I hope Bass Pro has some compassion for these excuses of managers.
The BP stores look so much better and so much cleaner - and a big part of that is simply neglect - hopefully this helps to clean up and move towards a better managed and more appealing cabelas store. The majority I have been to are absolutely dismal
Senior Managers reduced to 1
Receiving Manager transitions to Ops GSM
Sales Coaches will fill Hardlines GSM and Softlines GSM
Rest of Sales Coaches become Leads
No more salaried HR
Basically transition to Bass Pro Retail structure.
Not 100% on this, but I'm confident in my sources. Actual structure may depend on volume etc...
I hope Denver corp is ok
Nothing here yet, have you?
