So.....if we are a salaried manager and go out on MLOA before they make us sign this package paperwork are we still covered and paid salary for 6 months? Those currently out on MLOA are they going to lose being paid for the duration? Lose out on being able to apply for a job? Since legally the company cannot really reach out to use while out on medical.

Never heard back from the OP....what’s happening with you...have you spoken with anyone yet? Was your job cut?
And to the original poster about this, if you are on LOA, to need to reach out to your store and answer the phone when they reach out to you. Make sure everything with your job is crystal clear before you go out if you are not on LOA yet. “I didn’t know” or “No one told me” ain’t gonna cut it. My understanding is all exec job eliminations have been done and are interviewing if there’s something else available.
True. I was on LOA during re-alignment and conference-call interviewed for the corporate job with 2 directors and a VP. Luckily they still wanted me in the team. They will reach out to you while on LOA, if they cannot contact you while on LOA, that might count against you. Check with HR (if they're still there) for details.
They can and are supposed to reach out to you if you are on LOA and your job is being eliminated. If you are interested in one of the other positions you apply for it and go through the interview process just as if you were not on LOA. If you do not accept or are not selected for,the new job, your employment ends on the selected date, as does your LOA and pay. Sounds harsh but that’s the drill. Being on LOA does not protect your job if it is eliminated.
