How are we still hiring people? With layoffs this rampant and the stock in the toilet?
Just search for DXC jobs, and there are a number of new openings just from the last week. This makes absolutely no sense to me.
Not to mention, who would be crazy enough to actually accept a job in this sinking company at this time? You'd have to pretty desperate.
it is just an advertisement, don't take it seriously. It is 1 way to make some people trust that DXC is still doing good and hiring as usual. Don't get cheated mate :)
They swapped out experienced/skilled employees to hire cheaper labor offshore or nearshore or fresh “meat”. This is why the stock price went from $64 in April 2017 to $100.
The so called “leadership” needs to pad up their bonus/stock options before the final golden parachutes. Then come back as executive consultant to help fixing the “problems” they created in the first place.. this is called “recurring opportunities” ...sad but real ..
I can assure you they are hiring.... its mad excellent quality people and cheaper hires with lots less experience coming in..
A company of this size may be hiring in one org or region, and may be firing in another org or region. Is that difficult to understand? Also, stock is at all time high, but do people decide joining a company based on stock price or salary/job profile?
They still need toilets to be cleaned so they are hiring.

The stock has never been higher, and that is exactly because they are pumping it up by mortgaging the future of the company.
They can get people into cheaper locations on less attractive terms than those being dumped.
Pay and conditions will be worse.
Jobs will be slightly different from those lost to qualify as new jobs
Advertising jobs doesnt necessary mean they are hiring. They advertise jobs, to prove to the investors they are expanding, so that the stock value increases. In fact they are not, and sacking people every day. Its just, as you would expect, another lie :)
