Thread regarding Devon Energy Corp. layoffs

My recommendation to anyone working at Devon is to not own any (or at least very little) Devon stock. If you have a lot of your money in DVN stock, and depend on it for a paycheck, you are putting all your eggs in one basket. If anything happens (another sharp downturn or layoffs) you will really feel the pain. My tip, put your money into stocks that have nothing to do with the oil industry. With the recent drop in the stock market, it is a good time to sell DVN and diversify away from energy. Some blue chip stocks are cheaper then they have been in a while.
