Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Height of hypocrisy

So, Humana joins the many companies that are touting bonuses while laying people off. Despite the fact that tax cuts could have saved all of these jobs. Every single one of them. And despite claims that tax cuts were supposed to create new jobs.

Let me predict the future: Humana will lay off hundreds more, then hire a few dozen and claim them as tax cuts job creation. And media is going to fall for it. And unfortunately, half of the country will as well.

I hate life right now.

Did they mention 700 families will be getting news of another layoff?

Well i am assuming you all got a nice paycheck in January. There are people that were laid off previously that did not get one. Just saying

Anyone who thought companies were going to use tax cuts to help employees must’ve voted for Trump. This is all about lining their pockets, do you think billionaires care about you? Please.

I agree with the hypocrisy. But more & more we are becoming a nation of have & have nots, & we are the have nots.

Our cuts could not have been saved by a tax cut. These were planned due to a low performance program that was in need of a major restructure to survive

It was surprising to see the news about that, yes, but, if humana is changing it’s program and needs to staff differently, that’s a different story
