I worked at Sam's many years ago when we had daytime stocking and receiving. We had much less volume passing through the club in those days. The CIM system was nonexistent and the workers were MUCH better trained. The workers were MUCH better workers. Poor workers , Poor training and a cumbersome CIM system will combine to make a transition back to day stocking and receiving very difficult to make work well. Managers have become nothing more than spoon fed toddlers depending on HO for every merchandising decision. They screw up nearly everything they have to handle on their own. I refuse to believe the clubs that have been using the "New" way of doing things are having a good experience with it. I feel this way because I know for a fact that very often managers will lead HO to believe that they are getting a particular program to work well when in fact they are not. And yes they do this. Why ? In order to look good to home office.
We may in fact all go to the new system but it will be a long bumpy road made to work by hourlies who put forth the effort to make it work in spite of poor management.
Thought I'd bump this to the front for being on point. Originally posted by @RB9DK7W-1iih.
