Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

SJV updates?

There was a post late last year that Aera was buying CA assets, Chevron being a piece. Now that SJV has completed 26-30% ROM, what are the current rumors?

When Oxy sold to CRC, majority of Oxy employees were forced to join CRC or they were laid off. Strong signing bonuses but now they're stuck with CRC.

The Aera takeover rumor had no merit to it (the guy could not even spell Aera). I do not see it as a realistic scenario as the internal politics of Aera being co-owned by Shell and Exxonmobil would be too challenging. Additionally the relatively small prize and the complexity of operating in California would not be appealing in comparison to the opportunities either company have in their individual global portfolios.

There is no such work being worked in Talents and Projects. -2hiu is talking out of where the sun don’t shine.

Would the chevron employees be part of these “sales packages” and would they go with the sale of the asset ?

There is a cross-functional team within the “talent & projects” group who are working on sales packages for all the fields. We’ll see who the buyers end up being though...
