EISP is our Final Payout.

Be patient,. Do less,. Play their game.

FMLA. This management team treats you like crap. What comes around, goes around.

The eisp is a good way for the company to get rid of the most costly employees. The company wanted it in the contract to be able to offer one eisp per year..the union was against it. Why would the company fight to put it in the contract if they weren’t going to use it. It’s a good tool to have people voluntarily leave the company.

Verizon is greedy. They want more money...Trumps tax cuts aren’t enough. If they can save money by getting the people with 30 years off of the payroll, they will do it. It’s just a matter of time before they do it. It makes good business sense to get rid of someone with 5 weeks vacation, is at top pay, knows how to use the 12 weeks of fmla, not to mention the costs per employee for them to manage the pension. It’s better for them to get you off of the payroll and out of the pension system (lump sum buyout). Plus the stock holders love it when they cut heads...makes the stocks go up so that they make even more money. Hang in there....it may be a month from now or 2-3 years from now but they will offer an eisp sooner or later. It just makes good business sense on their part and is also good for the employees....it’s a win-win! The only delay that I can see is if the company feels they need to keep employees around for a possible fiber build out, but then again, they did hire a lot of 30 month employees last year, so maybe they will let some of the more expensive employees go.

They are working off a long term plan that the Trump tax cuts don't even take into account..That's a different bucket of money for Lowell and his buddies to split up for their parachutes. Layoffs will continue until morale improves!

With the hugh tax cuts trump game this coming they don’t have to reduce union members now. They will wait until we quit but for me NO OFFER. , NO QUIT, hang in there and make them pay. Don’t let them win. And take advantage of the 12 weeks of paid FMLA.

@xfb

Calling employees with 30 years of service $uckers tells me that you are either management or wireless....it also tells me that if this is so, that you have no idea when an eisp is coming. Quit being a troll.

I posted last year. And then came the trump tax cuts which helped bloated behemoths like verizon. It changed the companies' mind. Next big one now is summer 2019. Less strikers equals less union power. The "just before contract ends" EISP will be the one to end our bargaining powers as many as several thousand union workers nearing retirement (or already working past their 30 yeats even now, $uckers, will finally take it.

That can’t be....someone on here last October promised that there would be one in March 2018, October 2018 and July 2019!!! I can’t believe that someone would give us bad information on this site!

The whole process takes about 6 weeks from the time of initial offering to the off-payroll date, so it would have to happen right now if they wanted anyone off the payroll by the end of March.

My guess is that there is no first quarter EISP this year, if ever again. Who knows?
