Door greeters loosing their jobs again! They were called to the office one by one and told April 13th would be their last day! However they could reapply we know how that works. Another round of age discrimination layoffs. Supposedly they are bringing in what they call asset protection managers to man the doors. We were told they would have 2 of these AP on each door theft in our club is extremely high, this is the Walmart in O’Fallon😕

High shrink stores are all getting these...its not age discrimination. You can not do this job from a stool or meet physical requirements that way....
OP must work at Sam's. They titled it Walmart but refer to their store as a club in the body of their statement.

How many businesses have AP Host or door greeters,Customers seem to get annoyed being stooped and checked particularly when a line starts forming on a busy day.Many customers just walk on.Looks like they should get A Professional security service to do the job.The AP they have at our store is seldom seen.And the APHost are for the most part not doing much good.There not on the doors at all times they can be stooping a customer checking a recite the alarm goes off several people go through while they checking.The thieves know when they're gone.And where the weak spots are in the store like the restrooms where lots of stolen items packages are found as at the door entrance trash cans in the area where they are
They changing the position because they couldn’t catch anyone setting in the office watching cameras. It’s about time Walmart waking up get them ap’s from behind closed doors.

Spin it however you please it’s still a joke! This is the only company that gets rid of people and makes them reapply for same position different name!!! They letting older folks go and bringing in same position different name. Congratulations karma will eventually catch up to you as well maybe not today or tomorrow but somewhere down the line. Enjoy while you can hopefully you won’t be a senior and really need that extra income to pay for food.
It’s called AP Customer Host and it’s been around almost two years now. High shrink stores get converted from people greeter to AP Hosts on a store by store basis.
