So as a FORMER RM, as of today, my SM called me in the morning, told me I’m gone. And my roommate is gone too. Oh, and I’m having surgery tomorrow for damaged shoulder... yay for extra stress!

Hey, I know it s---s (RM with 11 years cut, here), but at least your surgery is scheduled now and not next week when your insurance is gone!
@RIgWe8j As another former RM, I feel for you and your situation and hope everything works out OK. Would have been nice to have had some notice about the fact that we are "surplus to requirements". I don't think corporate understands how important our position is to success, can't sell it if it's not on the shelf.
I was let go today too - really my SM was super compassionate and inspirational, gave me hope as I was leaving. She's a great person and all of us have respect for her - I wish all SMs were like this.
I've spent four long years here and the store crew is my second family - I will miss them all.
For the folks who are staying: keep your options open and start looking immediately. Things are not looking good and I am afraid they will continue with cuts on all levels.
