Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

IT Transformation: Anyone know if severance will be offered to developers/analysts in impacted roles and/or on teams where the work is moving?

Many teams are still in "wait-and-see" mode with people in roles that have uncertain futures.

Does anyone know whether there will be severance (voluntary or involuntary) offered at the analyst/developer level, similar to what was offered to leadership?

Specific to IT transformation: Has anyone heard of people or personally experienced being given less than 90 days from the time they learned they were losing their job to the date they would be officially severed? ..regardless of voluntary or involuntary severance

As a technical employee at Corporate, a voluntary severance offer is now what many of us are waiting on because we've gotten tired of this drawn out process knowing that the people who are talented are taking jobs elsewhere and only the townies or the people who can't get jobs elsewhere are going to be who gets left behind

As a technical employee in a hub, a severance is a lot of my team's dream!

Yes involuntary severance is my biggest fear.

Most likely, involuntary severance, voluntary only for upper leadership. Stinks, don’t it?

I have some bad news. The last of the Founders Day 2010 Bag Nasty sacks have been distributed.

Now only a very lucky are going to receive a complimentary swift kick in the a**.

The remainder will simply not receive a paycheck beyond the given date.

We’ve found these things tend to work themselves out.
