Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Integrity Always.....Where did it go?

When I started at WMT there were 3 basic beliefs....Strive for Excellence, Service for the Customer and Respect for the Individual. Then along came “Integrity Always”. Integrity used to be a given but because some people didn’t have any, they had to make it a rule. Looks to me like all 4 have been thrown out the window....I think it is now Strive for the Individual, Service for me, Respect my ideas and Integrity only when someone is watching.......WMT used to lead, now they just follow......the second dog in the dog sled never changes their view.....(think about it)....and I’m tired of staring at the exit, it’s time for me to move on.

Walmart is failing the employees . They are a giant retail and have thrown all of Sam's beliefs out the window.

The elimination of Co managers were done sooo wrongly. Most Cos would work easily 65-70 plus hours a week. 13hrx5= 65. May have a few days 10 hours but next day would be 15 hr. How cold. They can say what they want but the decision on who went or stayed was based on if you were liked by store or market manager, not based on ability. Sure there were some that did not want to run stores, but I bet if they were told up front six months prior, if you chose not to run stores we will need for you to change roles. They would have signed for stores. Then the Co's kept were given a 5% raise while the others are told they can be assistant less pay of course. Some were not offered. Was the reason legit or one that was more disliked.

They Tell them they have no position on Jan 26th to avoid their yrly bonus. I hear.

Then keep them listed as a Co to screw them out of their long term bonus. Because cos don't qualify,. When are the ones effected going to speak up. Multi class action needs to happen. Co managers speak out. you deserve it.

Spot on. I was with the company between 2001---2016, and for the first several years I really admired their core principles that built them so high. It really was an amazing place to work, and one of the few companies you could make a do-able living without ladder climbing.

I think it was around 2010 it started to slide off. 'Respect for the individual' and 'Coaching for success' translated to sleasy tools to elliminate employees.

Saving more words, it sums up best in this analogy: from the top on down, greed took over. It was like watching organized crime syndicates; first screwing the little people under them, then each other, all over profit----no honor among thieves.
