Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Price verifier going to pt

I was told Friday my position is now part time. I haven't been in the position very long. I'm sure they knew this was coming and they let me leave a position that is still full time to get bumped down to part time a couple months later. Now my only option is cap 2. I have 2 small children that I have one week to find child care for. The worst part is they didn't even pretend to care. They said they have a business to run and I should be grateful for still having a job at all. Time to leave this s***y company behind and find somewhere that cares about me as a person. I dont expect to be catered to but 26 yrs of my life I have been a good employee, to just be treated like i dont matter s---s! Good luck to everyone that relies on this company for a living. Expect your world to be turned upside down.

It s---s but it actually makes sense. All a price verifier does is price reviews. It's a 8-12 hour per week job.

What exactly does a Price Verifier do? Wonder if that is the same as the comp shopper on the Sam's Club side? Just had a bout of fresh department changes.

Yeah, wm was laying the groundwork for these b---s--- tricks years ago. I never fell for it, but I knew f.t. people who would be pressured in their dept., coerced to move to a 'better fit for you and us' one, and bam. no time at all it was 'well, the company changed that to part time with no beefits, its really out of our hands'

The PV in our store is also a long term associate and was told cap 2 was the only option she had. Shes been PV for less than a year and was talked into leaving cash office so she could work days and have time with her kids. Now she's back on evenings and having to find daycare for her 2 kids with one week notice.

I think this is their way of weeding out long term associates. We have become a liability to them. They don't want experience, they want cheap labor.
