You’re partially right - I have to give you that much. Yes, the team is smaller than it once was. Yes, some are from Anadarko. But that’s where the accuracy ends.
Back in what you probably remember as the good old days, there were close to 20 senior executives, ALL of whom were loaded down with lavish perks / such as 60 hours per year of personal time in a company-provided NetJet. Go back and read the Reuters articles from the spring and early summer of 2012 - everything that was written about the “Lavish and Leveraged Lifestyle” was true. Every word of it.
When I sit and wonder why this country went to war 15+ years ago, all I have to do is watch video of planes flying into the WTC, people jumping out of windows that day, etc., and I remember all over again how that day made me feel. The same is true for Chesapeake and the Reuters articles.
If you lose sight of why Doug and his colleagues were hired, Google the Reuters articles and re-read them. Or, read them for the first time.
