I volunteered to be laid off. They told me no. What a bunch of morons runnng this circus. Once again, pick me, pick me!!!
Why in the world would you do this? Now they know you want out, and assume they can wait you out instead of paying you severance. If you truly wanted out, should have just waited, since we all know major layoffs are coming.
Sometimes you can't wait that long. It seems that after every layoff, they get rid of good and bad.
They know that if they asked for volunteers they wouldn't have anyone left to work. Those that need to go are at the top....they are paid ridiculous salaries and are driving the company into the ground. Why do you think long time employees have been leaving left and right? It's a sinking ship!!
