Once 5G is widely accepted and the connectivity through the air is well established, it will be the base platform of another technology boom similar to .com boom. Many device makers will rise to develop exciting gadgets which wasn't possible. ubiquitous is the term that was introduced quite a while back. Now is finally the time. Small device that directly connects to the network which can be monitored through the cloud. That won't even need the legacy input output method such as display and touch. Autonomous ubiquitous devices will be everywhere around us. It's all connected at all times. Qualcomm+NXP will be the only solution provider supports its platform for long and long time. Brace for the success.

5g will be a commodity. Profit margins on HW will be low, no one will be allowed to IP block the market like Q did with CDMA and the big success will be done by small, agile groups with start-up mentalities that no longer exist at Q and haven't for two decades, since the H1b flood.
5g is not going to save Q, it will just allow a smaller, lower profit Q to continue with reduced quality of work, more suited to H1b serfs.
Homer works in Sector 7G
With Bcoms Non-Cellular & QCs Cellular connectivity, you guys could dominate the world of connectivity...MTK & Intel would be far behind...NXPs Autonomotive presence would be another crown. The difficult is making mergers work successfuly because of the Human factor.
SM is talking about 6G also, I believe there is a 6G manifesto is being cooked. Octane will redefine 6G if he is lucky..
Sanjay is laughing his a-- off.
sounds like 3G manifesto and 4G manifesto and netbook manifesto and mirasol manifesto and mediaflo manifesto and zeroth manifesto.
I totally agree to you bro. But we need the new CEO who can bring up this ubiquitous ecosystem. Qcom will need to build entire full stack sw+hw platform. Where's Sanjay Jha now?
This is great news. 5G will bring much success!
Go Qualcomm!
Go! Go! Go!
