The robot scanners will be in all stores by year end. They will do all section work and scan entire store every 24 hours. Stockers will work reports and topstock also. ALL DM gone by 2019.

They need more departments and cuts of crap dm that fake counts, work, take 10 smoke breaks, sit at workstation, play on cell phone and fake their way thru the day earning wages that could be paid out in bonuses to those who work. Blue, silver gold badge syndrome when you think you not replaceable and relevant to the store. Robot not a smart a-- and c---y like half of them! Welcome to technology and the world we live in...... adapt and change with the times and world around you.

I have worked for the company for a long time. I never thought they would get rid of invoice clerk. These changes are coming. The investors are wanting more money so that means cutting cost on the bottom line. I agree they will be reducing staff to a minimum. Changes are on the way department managers next so get ready.
The Talley robots are already being installed in some stores with direction not to start using them till mid March. There was a picture on a Reddit post of one that is in the store. They scan 15,000 sku’s Per hour, id outs, lows, mod issues and pricing issues. Management can print a report showing them what sections need work. You don’t need a Dept manager to fix a stuffed mod or pull merchandise to the counter. I can see a time where there are only dm’s in fresh and service areas.

I see they could eventually get rid of all of them. The higher starting pay goes the higher the dept manager will be. I see it coming in the future.
