It never ceases to amaze me how this company accepts so much shrink with no questions asked. Coming from the CARQUEST side we took pride in our inventory being correct and having positive inventory results. Advance don't seem to even care, maybe its just a good tax write off for them. I go to shelf numerous times a day and the parts aren't there. And I'm not talking about just low dollar parts either. Last week alone we was missing a Holley carburetor and a pair of factory replacement air suspension shocks just to mention a few. But yet nobody is concerned. You're just told to flag it for a cycle count. And the inventory company they hire is an absolute joke. I guarantee you no Advance store out there gets an accurate inventory. No wonder this company is a joke to work for.

I don't think its the Employees taking the parts, Its the warehouse shorting us parts all the time. We try to catch mistakes, but hard to get every thing . They are probably short handed too.
I was a store manager at CQ also. We topk pride on an accurate inventory count. Not the same here. No one gives a crap. Tells a lot about the caliber of your employer.
Thieves at corporate and thieves in the stores. Goodnight AAP.
The biggest thieves are from the DM'S and up. And by the way DM stands for dumb manager.
Advance gets exactly what they are paying for, pay crap wages, get thieves, pay better and you get better employees. Then again, the biggest thieves are the ones at the top as they take way more in wages then they are worth. So really, whos the real criminal ?
I formerly was in the LP and audit department at AAP. Huge issue with employee theft. Night shift employees make more money on selling stolen parts than what they earn on a paycheck. Ever notice those who want to always work late? Often they are the thieves.
