My best guess is that the lower cost facilities will see the least number of people impacted, while more costly ones in expensive locations with many employees, will see the most cuts. While having a manager who likes you and values you, may help keep you from being selected for elimination, your talent, skills, hard work, dedication to the company and continuous learning will not. Top performers do not even seem safe anymore.

I don't understand how talented people are supposed to perform well with the constant threat of job cuts.

DHD is 3 bldgs in the Grace Lake Corporate Office park. NOT GE owned.

I was a Capital Leftover and got laid off in middle of Jan. 2018.

Hoping to get back in to continue my pension.

It is starting to look like the layoffs may occur when the new replacement team is in place in India.

Bill Ruh is still there? Is he still doing incompetent all hands where he laughs drunkenly and talks about hugging developers? And also can’t seem to make TP work properly?

If Bill Ruh ain’t on the list then it’s clear we are all taking the fall for him and his minions.

CT is CoreTech, not Connecticut, but based on how things are going I wouldn’t be surprised if CT based staff are reduced. I suspect roles will be ‘moved’ to Cincinnati and in doing that many will leave. Norwalk office has turned into a ghost town

Did someone say GE Digital, Red Tape? It's more like magnetic tape from what I've seen! In all fairness though, GE Analog is about as efficient and productive as the IBM 2401 reel to reel's spinning tape at 2 RPM.

Thankful to be OUT!

@RXA4lqA-1und - what is the point of keeping jobs, that is how we ended up with the hundreds of Managers and brown noses. A bunch of us got hired recently, we see there is a lot of work to be done, but all the red tape keeps it from ever getting to us. Working on Slides and attending meetings all day, is not "work". I'll leave as soon I find a job I like. You can hold on and feel lucky.

@RXA4lqA-1vtx . -- If you're serious, do us a favor and quit. There are so many of us who would actually like to keep our jobs, yet people like you slip through the cracks. :(

Cloud and platform are severely impacted. Seems the app led strategy is driving the decision making. Wonder why the leadership is not being impacted. Seems no accountability on the top management

Yay, I can get my severance take a break and then do contract work back at GE at better hourly pay. Coz, no one in their right mind will join GE, no pay raises or bonuses for the foreseeable future - lol! While the rest of the world is doing very well!
