Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

How many here think that Broadcom/AVGO is a Chinese company?

Just a raise of hands to determine the general dumbness factor here, because there is all this talk about China, chinese influence, the chinese communist party being behind this, and so on.

Might explain a lot about the recent situation at Q if it turns out that we have thousands of complete retards among our ranks.

Qualcomm is NOT an "American" company. Western corporations are only loyal to $$$. They don't care about their country of origin, environment or people. That is why they must be subjected to laws. Chinese companies are different: in many cases they are financed and follow a strategy laid out by their government. I don't know if Broadcom is a Chinese company but it is definitely not American. They just setup an office in the US and filed paperwork to work within the US legal system.

I think there is a tinge of racism there. The assumption is hock tan is Chinese so avago must be Chinese.. (incidentally I thought Tan surname means he is filipino, I could be wrong though)

For the record both are American. Also from the SI thread it looks like our own QCT is also domiciled in Singapore
