Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Are the rest of the stores safe?

Been reading that all the Sam's Club stores on the cutting block closed for the day to announce the closings. Does it mean that the rest of the stores are safe?

It's been a stressful day as it is with what we've been hearing, it'd be nice to be able to relax at least a little bit.

Next club closing list is set for 2020, with quite a few in the interim transitioning to e commerce clubs.

If your club got a cash recycler then you are probably safe. Based on locations I would say Sam's is retreating in certain markets with Costco and BJ's and getting rid of the dead weight in others. The buildings will probably be repurposed for eCom.
