People shaming other people for how they are processing this experience are really annoying. Congrats you have it all figured out. Good for you and your family
I am an HCM-RN currently employed with humana and have followed this site since first lay offs. I know it's good to have hope and be optimistic, but let's not fool ourselves. There has been a lot of speculation, but from what I've read the dates are usually correct. A past thread gave the date of 1/18 before the email invite was sent.. Is that coincidence? I appreciate any information and know how to formulate my own opinion and do what I have to to survive. We all have different situations and should use the information to empower ourselves not talk down to others or call eachother liars. I want all the information I can get. We aren't going to get it straight from Humana. Good luck to you all! I will sit and wait for my severence pay. If it doesn't come I will continue with my daily routine.

I am prepared, probably more than most. I am sure there are layoffs planned, but come on, we really have no clue how widespread it's going to be so why the hell should I panic like everyone else. We can't change the outcome. If I sit and worry all day, every day ,over the unknown I won't get anything done. What the he'll is wrong with a little hope and optimism? If you are so jaded and miserable, keep it to yourself. I have prepared for layoff. I have my resume ready and 12 months salary in the bank. I cut back on everything money wise when the first layoff hit, just in case. I just choose not to live a life of doom and gloom based on conjecture! We can't control what's going to happen but we can control how we deal with it!
There are absolutely layoffs coming! Come on this is our sixth round and you stilll want to believe people are not getting going to be affected. No talk about new members to this program in seven months! I wish you the best of luck but please be prepared.
It could come out on Tuesday next week with the layoff on Wed. They like Wed layoffs. Then the Thursday meeting to tell us the new direction after layoffs. We don't even know for sure there will be layoffs. People are pretending to be people who are in the know lately out of spite. It's pure evil!
