Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

One year ago tomorrow

So how are all the ex-ASM’s doing one year later? I personally found a better position. Off every weekend and no nights. I’m paid a salary and work a 42 hour work week. With monthly bonus for my sales I’m making almost the same with a fraction of the stress. Laying me off was a blessing in disguise. I sincerely hope others are doing as well and wish everyone good luck with the next round of Lowe’s changes.

I found a job in retail in a position above what I was working as an asm at Lowe's. I'm paid more, work less hours and get to run my own store without ridiculous interference. I don't have 65 calls a day from angry customers about the Sterling switch messing up deliveries.

I do miss the challenge Lowe's provided but I do not miss the politics. It's a business and should be run like one, I get why they did the restructure and totally agree with it. With that said I'm glad I no longer work for the person they put in the position of store manager. Very incompetent and made only negative impacts to the business on multiple levels, the most important being moral.

I have faith Lowe's will be strong and is making the right decisions and might one day try to apply again. Especially now that I don't have to pay that severance package back.
