Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Tomorrow

It’s expected that the meeting tomorrow will be announcing changes, whatever happens will be end of January to accomodate the 60 day notice to have people let go by the end of the first quarter? PHC, either all or some, will be let go.....CMs and hcmss will be impacted, also....so, at this point, all we do is wait, Evals by coaches are all in to HR, and not much else to do but our jobs the best we can until we see the next move humana does and where we, or our roles, fit in

@Rh0TGfS-aqm is correct. HAH telephonic program was never listed on the benefit grid. This seems to be a confusing issue for many.

I wish straightforward answers would come out quickly. This type of stress is not good for us. I understand the business aspect but for any company that truly cares about its employees, should really think about their mental health and aluminate as much stress as possible.

Agreed, below poster, and yes, that doesn’t change anything like you stated.

Let's get one piece of info straight. Our services have never been part of the listed benefits. I'm not sure why that false information is still being spread. HAH is not a benefit. It's a supplemental service. You are seriously misinformed. That doesn't change that PHCs will no longer be needed but our services were not on the benefit grid to begin with. It has been stated in here countless times but no one wants to listen.

Look at old dates, look for the official announcements to come 1/31 - 2/2

Legally they have to offer a 60 day notice. This is the final step for the elimination of telephonic services. My guess is that you get informed, have the HR meeting and then be told to work until they inform you of your end date. There are only 2 CHE teams and not very many SS teams left. Remember the 2018 plans this year, they DO NOT include PHC benefits (health care coaches). It was all being pushed under Go365. The remaining folks from the previous impact were left in place to complete the calendar year. Now that the new calendar year has begun, the rest of the division will not be needed. It is all being phased out per the strategic plan. The writing has been on the wall for too long to be blindsided at this point. It is business. Again, I plea to all of you.... Get YOUR RESUME'S READY ! BE PROACTIVE AND CONTROL YOUR CAREER! Don't allow Humana to control your career... they are all about business. Best of luck to all of you and prayers. I was RIF'ed after a long employment history with the company and I decided to take my career a new direction. I am so much happier about how my career choices and adding to my skill set and marketability in the industry. Be brave everyone! YOU ALL GOT THIS!!!!

I kinda feel like the email could come today or next week before the all PHC call on the 31st. That way they can talk to us about the why’s. However that meeting was originally scheduled in December 2017. The details state they were going to talk about care plans and etc. However all of us know this boat change courses at the drop of a dime. I want to be hopeful but at the same time I can’t!

I don’t think anyone on here is going to reveal how they know what they know, and of course who would blame them. “Well, on Jan 5 I was in a meeting with x,y and z....”. Nope, not gonna happen.

Also, if tomorrow’s meeting is to announce changes are coming, then it would follow that this morning would be too early for the confidential email.

Has anyone received the dreaded emails this morning?

How do you know this?

I hope they are as straight forward as possible. It’s not confidential once an entire position is eliminated, so at least the PHC part can be disclosed, but I hope they are as candid as possible as to what all roles can expect. Transparency, right?

I know I’m being naive but one can hope for a little honesty. Throw us a bone.

Yes it will be announced that all PHCs are being eliminated and approximately half of the nurses. I'm not sure how HCM-SS or CHEs but it will be significant. They will probably take the cowardly way out tomorrow and just say changes are coming. If history is any indication, they won't tell us the whole truth and will leave many guessing with false hope.
