My Sears store has been getting lots of mens clothing called Simply Styled by Sears. Interesting that they are placing the name Sears on the clothes. Anyone have thoughts on this?

They are buying overstock from other vendors and re-tagging it. Most vendors have abandoned Sears so they had to find a way to still stock clothing. If the clothes are not re tagged then they are getting dirt cheap maufactures to make the clothes and then putting the Sears name on them. This has lead to many recalls of clothing due to intelectual property issues. The manufactures of these cheap clothes have ripped off the designs, styles and sometimes even the graphics of other companies to sell to Sears. What a joke
This is actually one of their better ideas. We need basics in apparel. We don’t need 20 different types of blouses. Having a more streamlined department with a good assortment of basics will really help.
This is a great idea, saves money from third party brand licensing. One of the first Simply Styled tags I saw read “Designed In New York” at the top, “Simply Styled” in the middle and “Made for Everyone” at the bottom. It later changed by “Made by Sears” or something like that at the bottom.
