Don’t know if it means we will be open awhile longer or if it’s just more inventory for liquidation
As someone said before wish management would be honest in regard to what’s going on with the company at the morning meetings although a lot of workers would jump ship
I was a manager at Sears for over 15 years, left in 2014 so I do know what I am talking about. I was smart and saw the writing on the wall and so I found something better. I also have made a boatload of money on the SHLD stock. If you would educate yourself and understand what Eddie is trying to do you can make some money too.
And Eddie is not trying to save the retail side of the business. Just to give you a clue.

Managers are as clueless as you and I are. they don't know what stores are closing, they dont know about cuts, layoffs, hours cut until a day before or the day of the actual cuts. DM's usually have a few days notice of the cuts and closings but other than that everything comes from corporate.
Just do a little homework on the financial boards and take what you read here with a grain of salt.
@tgw - The managers eventually do share what they know when the official announcement date arrives. I couldn't wait for that day to have a little fun. When the manager would say to me, "I have something important to cover with you," I would reply, "You mean about (subject)," and proceed to rattle off some details. The look of astonishment on their face was priceless! Sometimes the manager would ask how I found out. I would just casually reply, "I was made aware about a week ago." My only source was the information that I garnered from this site!
What exactly do you think managers know that they aren't sharing in meetings?
