Last year in 2017 when Walmart laid off 1000+ corporate associates, they also announced adding 10K US jobs to the stores.
This year when Walmart is laying of 1000+, they are announcing raises and bonuses for hourlies.
All of these announcements are well planned to cover up the lay offs.
There has been lots of cover up on Walmart as they are doing layoffs since beginning of last year. Since they are spreading layoffs over year there are no big numbers to report on NEWS. And NO it’s not HR fault at all. It’s the tone at the top and they are being sneaky and playing nasty game with associates who are forced to work harder out of fear and compete with each other! Com’on Walmart, you can do better than that!
