Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

BK's story on why he still believes in the strategy, showing a chart of our revenue growth in the past several years, is really misleading

I don't see any fundamental change in our product development or manufacturing in prior years that contributed to the revenue growth because of his so called strategy. Our main revenue are still from 14nm CPU's that were basically designed before whatever strategy he has put in, maybe some extra revenue from Altera. I think we are just executing what we have been doing for years and riding the tide of the PC and server industries, with nothing to do with his strategy. Are we making any significant revenue or profit from 5G, Nervana, MobileEye, and any AIPG products? That's the number he should highlight to support his strategy. So, it's still too early to say his strategy is working. At least, not yet.

Ask not what the specifics can do for you; ask what you can do for the specifics. By knowing the specifics, would you not get laid off, or would you pray for the families affected? Want the specifics? Go ask Intel HR or the labor department.

Layoffs happen every year, "duh".

Specifics or GTFO, "DUH!"

Layoffs are inevitable, unless the BoD do something quick! Duh 🙄

"May result in more layoffs"

I said which specific piece of layoff news, not which vague group of speculations.

@tbt: this is our side channel attack on Intel problems, which may result in more lay-offs. God forbid.

...and all this has exactly what to do with which specific piece of layoff news?

Not hard in a growing economy where server growth is crazy, intels has dominance and near monopoly and pricing power to look good.

Like IBM 30 years ago a great cash cow, but a chart can’t hide the rot and failures for those that can see and know 😉

Of course wall street only see the short term, so the stock will defy the deep rot in it. intel is on the GE path. BoD have a 🤡 even compared o Imelt ( San Jose State, vs Harvard Dartmouth) it will surely end poorly for Intel, much worse than GE as technology is very unsympathetic to screwups, look only at Nokia, Blackberry, SUN, Kodak.

Intel will it be rescued like MS when they got rid of Balmer not a moment too soon, or be broken up like GE but worse by staying with the 🤡 because they bought his 💩

He has neither integrity nor intelligence

If he was intelligent and believed the kool-aid he’d be keeping every share as the stock is going to 50 and maybe 60.

He has no integrity as he had insider knowledge and didn’t care about the perception of him selling every share he ‘legally’ could.

What leader with intelligence and integrity would do that 🤔😂😂😂😂

That implies he has either intelligence and/or integrity problems.
