Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Got my wake up call. 7yrs and tons on layoffs

I’m actively implementing my exit strategy. Can’t continue to come to work everyday not knowing whether I will be jobless on that day. Ain’t worth the stress and anxiety.

Thankfully I know of no one who was displaced that are having difficulties.

There is no loyalty anymore. Today's world dictates that you be always looking for a new job. It's like the gig economy for white collars.

Reminds me of the "we don't like to hire mercenaries" bit that ML wrote up on LinkedIn. Total BS. He knows very well that you have to be out for yourself to survive.

Unfortunately there is no job security anywhere you go, companies will always find ways to cut cost and leverage their losses. Times are different now and change will come we have to except it or be left behind.

Well I know what this cesspool is like. Time to try another one.

Nowhere to hide.

Unless you start your own thing and as long as you have a boss, you'll be in danger.
