Was told today by our coach that we are going to all scheduled calls, no more MOC at all. And CT does not call scheduled members. Are they changing how they call? Or being done away with?

My team has started covering anyone off also and the team prefers it. It seems like coverage team won't be needed if every team covers themselves. I don't blame the CT nurses, but I do blame the Humana system. It's set up for us to fail
Good to know.
I know 3 HCMRNs who are now with CT, and blaming the CT HCM RNs for not covering our calls is wrong. They have an auto dialer and they each are personally not able to choose which mbrs to call, the calls just automatically come through the auto dialer. I have asked them why the mbrs on my roster have not been covered and they dont know why, any more than we do not know why. It must have something to do with that dialer and the alerts connected to it? But dont blame the CT HCMs personally.
There will be no CT soon. I feel SNP needs to be revamped to provide perfect service. The associates are awesome but the micro managers need to learn how to effectively manage & encourage associates. No one needs the stress on the job like that. It’s about being a team & working together to complete the service
HCCP HCM-RN here. That’s how our team does it as well since CT can’t address all due calls/alerts for everyone off each day. We help our teammates out while they are out instead of sending to CT so we aren’t coming back to a sea of red.
ALL SNP is NOT required to cover their calls before you take PTO. My teammates cover me while I’m out and I cover them. We distribute and share calls across the team. That must be your COACH making you.
SNP is still being highly micromanaged. We have to pass a 90% chart audit rate per month and at least 5 MOCs per day (which avg between 1-3 hrs per MOC.) If the coverage team isnt working for HCCP and we are operating at unpaid overtime to complete MOCs ahead of time prior to PTO.. maybe they are doing away with it. SNP is told we have no "resources" for a coverage team- yet we are asked daily to do overtime to accomodate MOCs due in 10-15 days- on top of no coverage time.
What a great idea. Lets all lay it on the SNP people. They only went through hell for two years and had MF micromanaging their every move.
HCM-RN here, if that is true that SNP has to call members for days off and the do not have option to schedule them around PTO, well that s---s big time. I will tell you though that CT is a jock and does us HCMs no favors. They hardly ever cover your calls while you are out and you come back to a roster all over due. Most of us now just schedule our calls around our PTO.
HCCP HCM RN responding. I would not want to be in your shoes, SNP associate. I can't imagine trying to take a 2 week vacation and having to have all MOC calls done two weeks in advance. That is crazy! I wonder if we will all be expected to do this in the future. Too bad there are so many bullies chiming in on this website. Good luck to all in the future.
Each MOC Call in SNP runs on average from one to three hours. So, if we want to take 3 days off that have 5 MOCS per day, thats at least 15 extra hours of work prior to taking any time off. You're lucky to have a CT. But you're acting like you're too good for it. Have a seat bud.
RqRPXOf-1rbv -You're an idiot. It is nothing about case management or a lack of organzational skills. At least you have the option to take off work without having to do all calls ahead of time for those days you want to take off. You have no clue how SNP works. You're kind- the idiot ones that are mean spirited, are not valued and I bet you're next to be laid off. This site is also about sharing information that is difficult to see through the pillars.
@RqRPXOf-ihe- same here, coverage never does anything with my calls either. So much easier to just schedule around my pto. I mean, it's not difficult it's called planning ahead right? Whoever this SNP person is sounds like a whiner. S--k it up buttercup, at least your not facing a layoff. If you lack organizational skills you're in the wrong position. Have you never done case management before?
Wow, SNP associates, that is ridiculous! Is there any place to work at Humana that isn’t misery?
Whatevs... coverage never does anything with my calls anyway, I'm way more confident in scheduling them around PTO then letting them ignore them or irritate my members anyhow.
So for example, in SNP, if you'd like to take 3 days off, and you have 5 MOCs each of those 3 days on your schedule, you have to do all 15 before you take off or you're SOL. My problem with that is, then its really not taking your PTO. because you have to come in early/work late to get those calls done ahead of time due to SNP "not having enough resources" for a coverage team.
The OP is not from SNP because the OP has a coverage team. Idk where they are from. Just wanted to comment as an SNP associate that we dont have Coverage teams and how unfair it is that because we dont, are required to make all MOCs ahead of time before taking any earned PTO.
What area you work In where you were told all scheduled calls?
Is this for the SNP program?
SNP doesn't have a CT. We can't take any earned PTO without completing all MOCs ahead of time for any of the days we want to take as PTO. It's not cool.
I believe for the past several months coverage team was only to cover alerts on our rosters. I may be wrong but that's what I noticed when I took a few days pto.
We've been told they will not call scheduled calls because they cannot see our calendars. And they never have called anyone on my roster that was scheduled. Just routine moc and alerts.
That doesn't sound right. CT always called our scheduled calls, that's why they wanted us to note reason for scheduled call the notes section of the calendar so they knew the reason for the call.
