Thread regarding Viacom Inc. layoffs

Bad apples

There are always a few bad apples in huge corporations, but Viacom takes the cake. I’ve witnessed numerous in the management rank treat their subordinates like garbage for no reason other than that they can. Why does any manager think that humiliating fellow colleague is acceptable in any situation?

Not to mention that majority on our management team lack communication and people skills, at best, and any idea of what they are supposed to be doing at worst.

When a company is overflowing with bad apples, it might be time to jump ship.

Still the same complaints in 2018? Not surprising. I worked at Viacom for many many years. These same complaints still ring true, many years later - super sad. Unfortunately, the management and executive ranks remain poisoned. When you're in this business to gain power and assert power your shelf life will be short. It's the same reason why this company remains in last place. No one cares at the top. Middle management is nothing but a frozen tundra.

When you have leaders like Cyma at the top, who lacks basic people skills and an overall personality, what could possibly go wrong further down the ladder? (huge sarcastic tone intended). Maybe big mouth Pam has the answer?
