Everyone bashing the company needs to get real. You all are probably terrible, lazy, disengaged associates who feel entitled to more than what you deserve. I have been with the company for 17 years and have worked in 3 different parts of the country. If you really give a damn, service customers at the highest level, sell a bunch of stuff, work hard and come in everyday with a plan to get better then you will be rewarded. I worked my way to the top. I worked to 2 or 3am in the morning every night to make the store perfect. I have closed every Wednesday before thanksgiving and been there with my team until the early morning of thxgvng every year. I have been in at 4am on every Black Friday and stayed until close. I too lost a lot of dear friends to the layoff. By the way if they were any good they are eligible to reapply in February and might get rehired. If you hate the company so much, why don't you leave! Life is too short to be doing something that makes you unhappy. Go do something you might enjoy before your time from the Earth expires.

To the BBB love, I’m happy you’re happy but be very careful, I too worked for the company 18 years and was laid off. I was very happy and worked very hard. You never know what could happen. For you to even leave a comment like that shows me you are in management. I’m sure glad I wasn’t in your store. You’re an idiot!!!
My apologies to assuming that the "person" who wrote the BBB love letter is a man. Some of you seem to assume it's a woman and it very well could be. Either way this person doesn't sound if they were or are a "JOY" to work for. In the words of Night of the Living Dead, "They're coming to get you Barbara", could very well apply to you. Still though, good luck in not having to experience that NOT HAVING A JOB feeling.

Are we to assume that your former coworkers/friends who were unfortunately laid off if Aug 2017 were terrible, lazy and disengaged like the people you're accusing now. I am pretty sure they were full of shock, hurt, regret and disappointment and had some of the same reactions as though you cast stones at. Most of the cuts BB&B were to middle management in part because of the REAL overtime they had to start paying. There have been plenty of times that department managers stayed beyond their normal hours but then the REAL overtime didn't allow for it. It was costing the company too much. Many of the unfortunate (at the time) who were laid off had 10 plus years with the company. So please don't pat yourself too much on the shoulder while praising yourself. You may be a guy but, you're not a man. A (respectful) man wouldn't have lashed out the way you did. May someone look over your shoulder if another round of layoffs come and spare you the reality of NOT HAVING A JOB!
Focusing on TBS is killing the store I work at. We’ve had so many complaints over shipping times and we have zero control over that. Many loyal customers aren’t coming in anymore because of our awful shipping experiences.
We have forgotten about our culture. We were item and merchandise driven. We just gave a simple hello to a customer and worked all day and all night. We looked for hot items to turn in hot faxes on our Monday folders. We dollared stuff out to see if something was worth the space. We walked with the snapshot and used it to make good business decisions. We worked hard to improve sales and have a great looking store. Now it seems like store conditions in general, not in my store, don't matter. All that matters is how many Beyond stores you did today. Stop worrying about Amazon and the space that they control and always will. Let's worry about the other 95% of the business and dominate that space, like we once did.
I don’t think she’s a SM. It sounds like she’s at the district level “I worked my way to the top”. She needs to realize that district staff is no exception when it comes to layoffs. Obviously she knows that or else she wouldn’t be lurking around this site. Many signs are pointing to the downsizing of district and regional staff going into the summer, so I’d be very careful not to go playing with karma and bashing all of those who were laid off last year.

I bled blue.. Bbb blue. It doesnt matter. The company is not what it used to be. Your years of service will not matter. When they get bought out the structure will change. Managers will be reduced or the company will just be gone. stores will close... and you will be a number.
I was treated well.. highly thought of. higher paid sms and assets. are targets.. will not matter your years of service. If u are on the lower scale.. you are good for now. Manager getting promoted to sm positions who are not qualified.. but there. this has to tell you something. 5 years ago this caliber of person who never have run a bed bath.
the service team rules the company and they are destroying it.

That's exactly what I mean. Instead of fighting the fight, you give up! That's what's wrong with the "leaders" we have leading our stores. You need to resign tomorrow.
I bet your sales are in the toilet. Overall CS ranking is probably just as bad and your store probably needs to be flushed! You probably spend all your time being negative and bashing the company instead of doing your job.
My store morale is great, I thought I was clear when I mentioned that morale among MANAGERS is in the tank. This is company wide, SWEETHEART. Ask around and if you still don’t get it, we’ll just bless your heart... ;)
I think the writing is on YOUR WALL SWEETHEART! Your store moral is bad because you are probably a terrible leader. You are in control of that. Why don't you leave and open the door for someone that can actually do the job. I don't know Dana and have never worked for him. It doesn't even matter because the last time I checked, neither he or no one else runs my store. I DO! Put your grown up pants on and do your job. SWEETHEART!!!!
