I know this is hard for many Mondelez employees to believe but the end is near for DSD. I feel bad for everyone about to hear "your position has been eliminated" it will be a difficult time for many of you but there are many other companies that will offer you excellent positions it all depends on how much networking you've done during your time with the company. Mondelez dominates the market share in the cookie/cracker category and it makes perfect economic sense to finally turn all distribution over to warehouse. With the growth over the last year and losing the overhead of liability for a large distribution network the stock price will increase drastically. They will still keep a sales force similar to the Kellogg's current model but look for upwards of 10-15K employees losing their jobs. It's the new trend in the consumable goods industry we all need to adapt to the current climate. Start working on your resume now so you won't be blindsided when you are finally told the truth "your position has been eliminated".

Dirk and his cronies are not in control, just an FYI! Our customers make the calls as to whether they chose to receive product DSD. Do you happen to have any independent accounts that use secondary suppliers? Again, their choice! Kroger made the decision to leave DSD for many vendors years ago, they cannot build a warehouse overnight and we cannot transition to warehouse overnight. This is precisely why if you simply opened your eyes you would see that Mondelez has been preparing for this departure for years! Some people just chose to live with blinders on, apparently you are one of those people! Quit being arrogant to those who are sharing valid information! Not fake news!! Wake up!
What determines or who determines the sales reps that will be chosen (?) to stay?

Sorta sounds like your only gonna believe the "not fake news" when you get info for the conference calls. All other red flags are meaningless because you are in total denial! Or perhaps you believe the bs being told to you so mondelez can exit DSD in the best possible way, even if it means you have been lied to. Nobody here is trying to convince you, just sharing info for people who are open minded. All the red flags point to DSD departure and retail experts have spoken publicly that DSD will cease to exist for most companies, too expensive and retailers want that profitability back. Believe what you want and good luck, see you in the back of the unemployment line!
