Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

April 18th 2018

I know this is hard for many Mondelez employees to believe but the end is near for DSD. I feel bad for everyone about to hear "your position has been eliminated" it will be a difficult time for many of you but there are many other companies that will offer you excellent positions it all depends on how much networking you've done during your time with the company. Mondelez dominates the market share in the cookie/cracker category and it makes perfect economic sense to finally turn all distribution over to warehouse. With the growth over the last year and losing the overhead of liability for a large distribution network the stock price will increase drastically. They will still keep a sales force similar to the Kellogg's current model but look for upwards of 10-15K employees losing their jobs. It's the new trend in the consumable goods industry we all need to adapt to the current climate. Start working on your resume now so you won't be blindsided when you are finally told the truth "your position has been eliminated".

Yep definitely a delay. Rally meeting we we're told CAO in April for Walmart and that never happened. My guess is them and Kroger will be up and running fully in July. Walmart and Kroger is already been testing CAO in certain parts of the country.

The review has been done long ago. Look at the consumer trends and our numbers over the last 5-7 years. We've been working towards it. Closing local warehouses and going with regional outsourced warehouses. Just had to wait for the CAO to be up and running. We are close.

It's coming! Just a slight delay in the official announcement.

Strategic review on DSD ends by the middle of the year according to Dirk Van De Put CEO.

It’s going to happen. We aren’t being told when. The writing is on the wall, not all of us will survive the cut. The severance package will be minimal. We shouldn’t be surprised. Walmart going warehouse, Military going warehouse, Kroger going warehouse. Cmon.... Either be Pro Active or ReActive. Your choice

CAO and DSD does not work together. We will be losing our positions. They have the time wrong. That's all. We'll be done in September

We won't be here in a few years! If it's not this summer it will be April 2019. I highly doubt we last past September 2018. We'll see.

I agree with that but it will be a few years before we exit DSD. Not this summer like most think.

Wrong. It's not personal, it's just corporate America. They are not here to create jobs. Down sizing to increase profits is happening all around you in almost all sectors of our economy. It's only going to get worse with A.I. (artificial intelligence), technology, robotics, ect. Maximizing profits for the major shareholders and hedge fund managers is all that matters. We will be more profitable when we finish our restructuring plan and move from a DSD model to warehouse. Declining U.S. sales and pressure from a couple large retailers demand this.

Nobody knows for sure when. My opinion is that it will happen this year. Lots of red flags. My guess would be around July or August exit. Once Kroger is up and running on CAO we're done

Throw a dart and see what month it lands on. It's anyone's guess to when DSD is exiting! It's going to happen this year I believe. Just not sure when. Dirk mentioned that he'll be talking to us again in September. Who knows. Hang in there. Start looking for other options. No future with Mondelez

No announcement will be made next Wednesday. It's coming but that doesn't seem to fit the timeline.

My guess is around July announcement for end of August exit.

If they don't announce anything soon I'm guessing we'll be here through this year and most likely exit April 2019. They won't switch to warehouse going into Q4. If we're leaving this year it would be by end of Q2. That would give store's time before the Holiday's to prepare.

No way we'll deliver 6 day's a week. They cut my Walmart deliveries down from 3 to 2 in March

You can read about the walmart bin system for dsd on their blog. Sounds like the goal is no back stock, 6 day delivery. As one of them said their goal is to have all national and regional accounts go through their warehouse. www.reddit.com/r/walmart
