Yes, you can start a new job the day after you are laid off and as long as it's not with walmart you will get paid for the 60 days, 5 days of vacation and your severance.

If you apply for a job at Walmart and they offer it to you whether you accept or not you will not get your severance. Only apply for jobs you know you would want if the offer is extended

Can I accept a job somewhere else and still get the 60 days pay? Since I already know I can get the severance.

Yes. You can accept any new job as early as possible. Your severance is yours regardless of who you go to work for or when you go to work for them. The only circumstance in which you wouldn’t get it is by accepting a job with WM within the 60 days. If you can get a new job quickly then think of your severance as a nice bonus.
