are you planning to take your personal days before the RIF is announced? When will we lose them? Can we take the days after the announcement?

You can use VTO and Personal days after you are notified, but not in the event of early release. PHCs are being encouraged to use theirs ASAP.
Take VTO & Personal holidays NOW! You will be paid for all of your PTO.
I hope so too, poster below. I know we are not entitled to anything, however they must be aware that we (PHCs) are having a tough time calling member after member, day after day, knowing our work was deemed not impactful enough to be worthwhile.
That said, I’m still grateful for the early notice so that I can job search every evening after work, knowing what’s to come. It’s tough calling members yes, but I’m glad that I at least know what’s coming.
PHC here. I used mine also, to have some time to myself to soak all of this in and just in case there would be issues using it after being notified. I wonder how long they will keep us after notifying? After going through four rounds of this, hope they show some compassion and let those impacted in this fifth round go very soon after notifying us.
I was informed once you are notified that you are in the RIF you will not be able to use personal holidays, VTO. Maybe you can contact HR4U to verify
HCM-RN here. I already used my VTO and am waiting to see if I am RIF’d before using my personal holidays.
HCM RN here and I already used my personal days and VTO. I’m ready to go and not leaving anything extra on the table.
The personal holidays are not like PTO. You have to use them or lose them. If you are an HCMRN or HCMSS, you should probably wait to see if you are impacted before using those days. PHCs know that they are gone very soon so it doesn't matter if they use the days now.
PHC here. Our coach suggested we use our personal days before the RIF notice. My whole team is using them all up now.
