@zvc Not delusional. Sometimes it takes a shake-up for people to re-evaluate their lives. Maybe it’s time to assess and sharpen your skills, learn a new trade, or do something different even with retail. Retail is not dead. People have to consume, always. But the stores are changing so change with it.
What is your suggestion? Pray that Sears keep you for another few months?

Sorry to say, but you guys are luvcky. I wish I was in your position. At least you're not stuck anymore in a job you hate, like I am.
Life beyond SHC is a much happier! I don't think I realized the toll it was taking until I was out. It became so stressful; working 4 people's jobs w/nobody caring how much extra you're having to work, co-workers backstabbing to make sure they aren't the next to be laid off, the constant worrying when you'd be laid off, everyone in bad mood b/c there are few wins to be had. I wish you good luck as you move on from that toxic environmen!
YAY! We're unemployed now in the midst of a retail crash and with no way to make our car and home payment! Woohoo!

It's really a blessing. My position was eliminated last June and ended up taking a position in the stores. Now my store is scheduled to close this April. I am moving on and bidding Sears bye bye for good. Best of Luck to all.
