Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

ET

About 1200 may be gone by march end from ET.

Top level has no brain period, its better to move on as you don't have control over this my way or high way approach. SF is not the end of the world, if you are exp resource and they are removing you its their loss.

As long as good offer is given its better to move as its going to be slide before it gets better.

Does anyone remember the days when we were trying to increase the Systems headcount and we were desperately trying to explain why we couldn’t hit those #’s? Ie no one in those cities wanted to work for us? Now we can’t unload bodies quick enough. Such a sad state of affairs Pettit.

One of the numbers here in Bloomington said IT headcount would decrease by 7% here. Don't know total, so can't guess number.

When are they announcing these ET layoffs? I thought it was this week and wasn't sure about the actual numbers being thrown around.

Just asking for clarification...where did you hear that 1200 will be gone from Enterprise Technology? Wouldn't surprise me.
