Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Nothing has changed

Thought I'd be looking forward to my weekends again by now. I was wrong.

I don't feel safe nor happy.

It's so sad how much Humana affects my life outside of work.

What size is your team? We have a percentage that is allowed. For 15 it’s 2. I would guess your team is 10 or less. And for dialer my coach said everyone had to have the program for any future voluntary or mandatory overtime.

I work in SNP and as of last week our team can have ONE PERSON OFF ON PTO AT A TIME. Roster nurses have been told to prepare to work the dialer also. I guess they just want to get rid of people maybe.

You are wrong we were told that this is new with our new com. We never had a problem before. we covered for each other and were able to have 3 or 4 nurses on our team off at a time but we’re now told only 1 per day now.

S6RRJ7m-1vhp- oh please, stop. I also work in SNP and it's not 1 person only off at a time. Granted, not a lot of us can be off at the same time, you just have to plan ahead for when you want to take time off. Don't you have a team calendar where you can go and look to see who is off when? When you are part of a smaller team like we have here in SNP you really have to work together and be considerate of one another. What's so difficult about that?

HCCP HCM RN here. Our team follows the 30 % rule also. We are "strongly" encouraged to have our rosters up to date prior to scheduled vacations. If our teammates have UPTO then we each get a member on their roster to call if calls are due or alerts. New COM could mean new rules. I hope not.

It’s the special-needs population teams that was told this SNP. Nothing was given in writing but it’s a nice way to chase people out of there

Our team allows 30% off on PTO. Is there's change?

I feel the same. Feel like I can’t even be a good nurse anymore. Rushing members through survey after survey just to get numbers in. Not a good feeling. Need to find something else now! Com changes and things are changing for the worse. Can’t even take earned PTO when you need it if someone else has it off since now only 1 team member at a time can can take PTO. It’s degrading.

I’m sorry, poster. When you feel ready, maybe - if you aren’t already- try to find something less stressful.
