Thread regarding Nationwide (Insurance and Financial Services) layoffs

113 Gone

Nationwide unceromonsly pink slipped 113 positions within the claim department today. Majority were mid-manager positions. Average age kicked to the curb is 46. Easy answer to get rid of people when times get tougher. But true answer lies behind the lack of forsite by the executives to see changes that were coming to the insurance industry. Shame on you Nationwide leadership your members deserve better. No wonder you are in a downward spiral with JD Power with claim service.

I am in that 113. I am 63 and cannot "move on."

Looks like I'll have to fight.

Just the start of many! Large Loss will be next with centralization to the "hubs". The large loss managers should be looking now unless they want the small severance package.

Very toxic environment at Nationwide Insurance. Will collect the pittance of a severance package and move on after 20 years. Funny how the claim leadership has not addressed the HUGE drop in JD Power this year. Survey giving them way to much credit with a “average” rating. Guarantee they will be even further down next year with the leadership they have in place and the inexperienced staff they continue to hire at basically minimum wage.
