Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Small but frequent layoffs

They are doing the layoffs differently this time around. You’ll see 2-3 ppl. let go, here and there. They’ve smarten up and realize a mass layoff of 800-1000 ppl. has really impacted the company’s image with partners and customers. Not to mention, they can hire or retain top talent. But won’t be confused layoff have been going on for a while but will ramp up starting next week.

This sounds about right, @S6aawfz-1igd. I'm not expecting to hear of a big scale layoff any time soon. However, pay attention, you will see two or three people gone each week. Easy, no need for WARN and no bad publicity with it. It's a win-win for Citrix.

Agree @S9wpwq9. I was laid off this week via the 2-3 people at at time with a position elimination. Exactly not having to pay WARN to keep the packages small and saving face.

Entirely possible. Wouldn't be the first time this tumor mill confused a similar "aftershock" for new layoff.

There were some people who were hit by the layoff in November, but who were extended until this week to finish certain projects. I'm wondering if it's those people who will be leaving this week.

Citrix took this approach in January/February 2017. The company simply eliminated positions sparingly and some managers concocted reasons to get rid of employees to avoid paying packages.

Citrix’s numbers are not great and the company does not innovate. Culling the workforce is the current approach to maintain margins and the share price.
