G.J. and Ed Sr. Must be rolling in their graves. What's next, selling the old Corporate Headquarters. Such a shame. A historic Bloomington landmark GONE. Total BS in my mind...

What a gutless and soul-less move to abandon it. Yeah it was going to cost a chunk to maintain it. But this is where it began. And coming up on the 100th anniversary it would have been nice to have. But it's all numbers now and no matter what they say they'll never convince me they have employees' best interest in mind. Saw way too many senseless relocations that didn't have to occur. People being whacked when they could have done part of it through attrition.
Another hub? If it were a hub we would have to pay a large portion to actually build with a Third Party who maintains it for us, pay them to maintain it and then ever so intelligently lease it from them. Yeah... that was smart.
SF is positioning itself for growth in the 21st century.
And what pray-tell about this executive team leads you to believe they have enough gray matter to position anything, except for perhaps the posteriors of their employees for prime cornage.
Maybe this will be sold as “another hub” building? Haha!
A hotel downtown? Why would anyone want to stay in downtown Bloomington? There are few if any attractions for people from out of town.
For the person indicating SF is moving out. Totally incorrect. SF is positioning itself for growth in the 21st century. If we don’t change we will cease to exist.
Nobody would pay to see that.
Let's pool our resources, buy it for $3m, insure it for $10m ( with SF of course) then burn it down and collect the payout
Who is in?
State Farm Park will be next to be up for sale. Unloading of assets and employees here equals an exit from Illinois in a matter of a couple of years!
Make it into a nice museum about the Farm and charge a small fee and use that for a few staffing and upkeep.
It's an old, outdated building. Times change. I care much more about those at State Farm who face joblessness, especially those lower on the totem pole, than the buildings.
Where are all the people who told us we were wrong when he said 4 months ago that they were going to sell it?
This is the building the city needs for that badly needed downtown hotel.
As long as the city doesn't get it's hooks into the building. But, alas, they will find a way. Sigh
It is a beautiful old historic building but the elevators are old and slow, the bathrooms are small and definitely not ADA compliant. Why keep the expense if the company doesn't need the room? There is no parking for employees and it isn't set up for today's working environment. I would prefer to see it go if it means saving expenses. Move on into the 21st century!
