It is time for relaxing. High-tech is no fun with big schedule pressure. move on to find something like teaching or volunteering. We all have the day being kicked off at a certain age. Good luck. You have a package for international travel now.
Qualcomm seems to ignore WARN by either doing less than 50 batches of layoffs or handing out layoff packages to “volunteers” who accept a package. The Nov. 20th 2017 layoff did not even trigger a WARN announcement. But it was very real for those laid off.
60 day notice may be CA residents only. The rest of us GTFO 5/21.
Yes
does 60 day notice means i am still on normal payroll for 60 days after being notified and severance kick in after that. is heath insurance covered for those 60 days
I can has potato rsu
So many morons in this thread. Simple googling should day either 60 day notice or pay - that means... Don't you get it?
And there is no resting and vesting. Oops, honey I shrunk my rsu. It can only buy a potato now.
Ok... I just got the real date from my personal psychic....
The actual date is (drum roll) ....
In the future!
If the layoff triggers the WARN act, the actual exit date must be 60 days after the notification date. That's the law.
I volunteered but was rejected
Now back to rest and vest!!
OK Guys, this gives you the real dates to work with. If you choose to not believe them, it is at your peril. There are more volunteers than management was aware of, so if you want to stay bring your game up! For me, I want to check out with a package, let those who choose to stay either work with the NXP transition or not, that will not be my problem... Good luck to all, I still have QCOM stock...!
Until the end of the month of termination as I understand th3 policy...
My understanding, until the end of the termination month. I will update as 8 learn more next week...
Thank you for the update.
