In situations where management are being selected, did people in higher positions that were not selected usually get the next position down. Example: Manager not selected become a supervisor? Is a Manager automatically ahead of existing supervisor in the selection pecking order? Same with Directors willing to be Managers?

In Fire Proximity the company went to the higher ups with a voluntary severance that was sweet compared to the involuntary & they had many more people leave than they expected. There may be some very high ups that took a step down, but at the SM level they had to do a mass posting for 60+ SMs that left over their planned reductions! They learned and only offered involuntary at the lower levels. At the TM level they were able to put down on their opt-in form that they would take a claim specialist position, but those decisions have not been made yet.
