The Chinese know how to play us like a fiddle. Our own Decision Executives don’t know too much and are literal fools who are way over their heads. Those DE’s involved with the project’s capital spending should all be fired for malfeasance.

CDB?: 10 year build project of big gas plant, pipeline lay, and start up gas wells, $B overspent, just to handover after 2 yrs? Wheres the value?
My experience is the same with the coon-asses, outwardly all smiles and backslapping but you can never trust them.
Is that meant to be a not-so-clever play with words or are you just plain thick. Any psychological test would show you to be a walk-over in any settlement.
You can’t ever trust a Chinese entirely. That’s a lesson Chevron and their Decision Executives haven’t learned yet. Or maybe they ignore what they know for PC reasons. Either way, you’ll be taken advantage of if you’re not on your A-game. Shifty eyes and all that.
CDB: There is some money dispute with the Chinese. It’s a long running issue and CVax has had enough and is cutting its losses.
Maybe 200 or so? That’s no “layoff”. In Houston alone, we have anywhere from 100 or more employees retire each year, eagerly and voluntarily.
If the potential layoffs are true, will it be a company-wide activity or restricted to a specific business unit or units. I have concerns because I only have five years with Chevron.
I'm hearing layoffs in Houston soon. Maybe 200 or so.
Yeah yeah, 8esa. We’ve heard that said time and time again. Standard practice now is to believe it when we see it. That never fails.
Big Foot is storm safe and production should begin by end of year.
What went wrong at CDB? Seems like just the other day we couldn’t wait to invest and show off our sour ops prowess.
CDB is handing over, all expats are having to post out.
The Gorgonzola, and whetstone cash bleeds have been plugged. Big foot still dry docked and making no return on capital. Fgp another whetstone
6dxv, Do you have a temper and got angry as you post anonymously now? Someone strike a raw nerve? Haven't noticed anyone here particularly agitated, just my observation.
Running out of popcorn again.......love how quickly the typical chevron employee can reduce a message thread to a hissy fit temper tantrum
I am sure you will do a great job of taking care of it since you noticed. Have fun and grow up.
5dfu, No dear, but don't forget the bathrooms on 2 need TP and the toilets need a freshening up. Thanks.
Will GOM merge with AMBU?
When is next round of ABU layoffs ?
Layoffs this week for local Angolan staff.
No, they are not, I heard today from a reliable source..
Damn straight there's always going to be layoffs when you're in a service company that is under constant pressure to reduce costs. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard it's not a re-org, or not a ROM, just a restructuring I'd own half of Montana by Friday.
Many of us care, @1upq. Only clowns like yourself are the exception.
Who cares bunch of clowns
i would expect the merger of AMBU and MCBU and CBU...
Very slim chance layoff, at least I hope so. Chevron Houston seems to have couple of geoscience positions open right now.
CBRES-CENC merger will be an opportunity. Any other consolidations?
OP, for now there is little likelihood of further layoffs at Chevron. Just look at oil prices, they are much higher today than in 2015, 2016 and the first half of 2017. We can’t write off the possibility of very small cuts or restructuring here and there, but the “layoffs” are done.
