Automation is the end goal some jobs can’t replaced by machines yet.WB and Grocery will be the first to take the hit I think. Almost all items are prepacked except for things offered in bulk.TM will still be needed to stock but buyers will probably get cut down. If auto ordering is in place and WF goes to Electronic tags it really knocks out a big portion of the buyer role. It s---s that it is coming to this but automation is going put everyone not just At WF out of a job.

Ya'll a bunch of ludites
Serious question, Whole Foods is a business at the end of the day it's job is to make money and stay competitive in a changing market. Why does everyone assume that buyer's are entitled that job?
Well they definitely made me feel like poo
The logo this year on the shirts should have been the WF logo being flushed down the toilet.
You'd think they wouldn't want to fire that one employee who could push carts while texting. That's the future... yo!
The future is here and coming; we all knew this from reading any sci-fi or watching any science fiction programming on television asking with any awareness of the current technological "advances" in most industries as reported in Wired, NYT etc. This goes double for anything involving the treatment of employees, you can go back to Marx for that. A large corporation consuming another corporation very much so got very well in this narrative. We are all f----d including all TMs
The question is: whatcha gonna do yo?
I hope WFM bites the dust tomorrow. They don’t deserve to be in business after treating their employees the way they do.
